This is driving me crazy, I have one USB Modem model (Huawei E180 ) that once is plugged in the mobo freeze at POST code 94 ("Clearring keyboard buffer"), it don't go any further with this USB modem.
Also with X-FI 5.1 USB soundcard I have over 15 seconds delay at boot (right before POST screen).
I am facing the same problem with my GCLF(SINGLE CORE). Even i updated my BIOS to the latest. But still same issue with my X-Fi USB. If i remove the USB cable from CARD. System POST quicker otherwise have to wait for 30 seconds.
    In latest BIOS Released. [LF94510J.86A]
    • Fixed an issue where the system would hang during post under
    certain conditions.
But still it didn't solve my issue.
I dont know weather its a BIOS problem or Sound Card overdrawing the Current from USB ?

I am thinking to get this Dual Core Atom Gigabyte Board.

I remember having a boot problem with a USB device attached. I can't remember exactly what I did. I have vague memories of either fiddling with in the bios for disabling booting from USB devices, but I also remember playing with legacy interfaces (com/lpt etc) at the same time.

The solution is to use a standard 4-pin S-video to RCA cable. I tried some comercial ones and either I got a black-and-white picture or a very blurred colour.
Finally I got the best results by making my own cable as shown in the image
    Confirm the positive result.

But when I'm on XP the screen appear not 100%. A lot of desktop's part is outside of the screen! I try to chane resolution with no success. When I boot the margins is ok (the booting sequence is perfect) why on XP not?

Have you disabled legacy usb devices? That'd probably be something you want to try.

My internal sound card works good enough, haven't bothered re-using my external USB soundblaster 24bit from a previous carpc build.

I upgraded from the M10000, and beside the RTHDCPL.EXE audio problem that really isn't just related to this motherboard, I haven't had any other problems. I have only used one IDE drive and nothing else. Updated BIOS via FAT32 formated USB key. Booted and installed XP from NTFS formated USB key. running XP from IDE HDD with no problems beside the RTHDCPL.EXE audio thing. I really like the board...
