Tried it. same result. I think simple option would be Get the GigaByte Dual Core Atom. coz its Intel BIOS only. and that too on on DG945GCLF/2. I have no issues on D201GLY2. I tried it with my torrent RIG. and POST just normal.

Booted and installed XP from NTFS formated USB key. running XP from IDE HDD with no problems beside the RTHDCPL.EXE audio thing. I really like the board...

    With RTHDCPL.EXE ?
It's discribed in the latest few pages of this thread... but:
RTHDCPL.EXE is a program that "listens" for something to be pluged into the audiojacks and asks the user what he pluged in. It also contains the panel for selecting different envirements, like hall, pop, stadium ect.
99,9% of people never uses it.
RTHDCPL.EXE generates problems with the audio driver and locks audio output. Sometimes it also distroys the network card driver. And it resulted in 45 minutes shutdown period for me as well.
RTHDCPL.EXE problems is not only related to this motherboard.
Several motherboards with the realtek HQ audio chipset onboard have problems with RTHDCPL.EXE.

As I said, this board has worked flawless for me, exept for the RTHDCPL.EXE problem. RTHDCPL.EXE can just be removed from startup and then all is fine.

I haven't given up chasing the IEGD driver situation, but even though we were told an Intel engineer was going tocall us, nothing happened. Disappointed. Will chase again.

However, what's the go with the CPU fan speed? I see the bios entries for cpu fan control, but no matter what the little bugger goes the same speed all the time and is very noisy. I tried the 'speedfan' utility, and it can controlled the speed of a fan on the system header, but not on the cpu header. My only option to shut the thing up has been to put a manual controller between the fan and the header.

Does anyone else have any words of advice as to how to best auto-control the cpu and system fans based on temperature?

I also place a fancontroller between the mainboard and the fan just to quiet it up.
Somehow the CPU fan does not react on any input given in the BIOS.

About this mainboard,a fast at it is I just want something else.
    Reason for this are:

-Slow boottimes when using a PCI VGA card.Using the onboard VGA systeem wakes up form hibernation in 25 seconds.
As soon as I plug my ATI PCI card boottimes increases to 55 seconds
-Static noise when starting up,well known onboard soundcard issue.

Due to the fact that I need to have a VGA card that is able to show different images on my touchscreen and headrest screen I HAVE to use the ATI card.
Onboard VGA on this board is NOT able to do this (if you manage to get any image from the TV-out)

That's why I purchase this board:
Albatron KI51PV-754, will use this board with a AMD Sempron Mobile 3000+ 754 1.8ghz (25W).
Great thing about this board is that it has a onboard Nvidia VGA.
Card is able to do Dual View, so I won't need a PCI card anymore.

Intel Dual Core will be use to upgrade my Celeron server, witch I use to download and stream movies to my TV using XBMC on my Xbox.

it's a realtek audio extra app, and it causes a load of problems on this board (and others) and doesn't do much good anyway.
You will loose the red speaker next to the watch but all problems will (hopefully) disappear and you will have audio.

I tried this and it didn't work for me on my 330 board. I also have a 230 board that I haven't used yet so I swapped the boards. The 230 recognized all the drivers from the faulty 330 board's harddrive I was trying. The 230 audio works great. My 330 audio is definitely shot.

That's what I get for waiting to test everything. Now I can't rma it

My s video appears in black & white. I may have to use a ATI PCI vid card too.

Are using catalyst or just the main display driver?

My ATI 7000 card uses a Mobile version of ATI's chip.
Therefore I need to use modified drivers from Omega.

If you want to use TV-out from your PCI card I would advice to use the Catalyst. Then you will be able to extend your desktop.

Any reason you don't use the onboard VGA and S-Video as your dual outputs? Seems this would be the best/cheapest option, and is what I'm intending to set up (once i get the second monitor). If you're using a 7", odds are it's 800x480, so you really aren't losing a lot of quality using s-video anyways)

The GMA driver doesn't support dualview, and the IEGD driver doesn't support the 945GC chipset.

I need 15kHz 640x480 Interlaced to work with my OEM vehicle display. Would the nVidia mobo support this?
