Including the 5 sec wait on M2 psu and XP boot-up, mine only takes 31 seconds until Riderunner is ready.
I only have one HDD on IDE, no optical drive and no SATA drives.
I find it to be quite fast.

Do you have the long POST delay before XP begins to startup?

I would estimate it to be around 3-6 seconds

treetop: What have you set the bios settings to differently than the defaults? I have the 4-5 second delay as well which is quite annoying.

Anyone get a subwoofer working with this board? I have the single core version and have 4 channel sound working via the Intel sound application I installed with the drivers but cannot figure out how to get the subwoofer going. It won't flip the microphone port to LFE.

Okay, anyone with fast boot times. Can you list your devices used, and settings in the bios, winxp etc?

Lets come to some decisions what gives you the fastest boot times with this MB.

I had amazing boot up of 24 seconds but I had a power surge on one of my USB inputs and then the board started going crazy and just dropping USB ports and hanging up so I wiped it and reinstalled all the bios and drivers and am just now getting things back to normal.
Google my name if you need to know who I am.

I had a long delay on the bios screen with the original bios, but after I updated it, I go from power on to using the system in 30 secs.
