I repeat, I didn't configure a single damned thing. Plug and play. I am however using Windows 7 as I have said before and with the latest Intel drivers.
thats surprising honestly, you must have a more current motherboard/video chipset- or maybe one that is designed to output a dummy signal on the composite line. i have never been able to get video off composite unless im using a real svid cable though, so apparently i just havent come across boards that can.

    yes to the Bios

Maybe it's not in the bios but the OS and latest drivers.

Where did you obtain the latest drivers? Intel?

I think i actually went to the website and it reported back to me that i had the latest drivers.

I now have a strong feeling it's because you have Win7 - which tells me i can play around with the software to get this modification accomplished (as trader said earlier - i can force it).

    Back to the registry....

On another note Kapone - i was a little bummed out to find that my spare power supply is a M1-ATX not M2... i was hoping to use the 12v railing for my monitor but no sweat.

I also was checking the volts with my Fluke Multimeter (sweet). I noticed that my USB dvd rom would not start up with any of the red wires (4.9v to be exact). My Fluke is not capable of reading amps (bummer) so i'm wondering if the DVDROM is more demanding than the USB Hubs?

I then checked other wires on the harness and one in particular came out to 5v exactly - the purple wire. I connected my DVDROM to it and - voila!! it works.

I will keep you posted on my results (and my svideo situation).

    THanks again

I finally went ahead and purchased this adpater. It does show in color, videos are fine but the text is a little blurry. I am glad I got it.

Is it possible to disable PCI express in the BIOS as I'm getting a pci.sys error using my pre-SP1 XP Pro install CD?

    Thanks

    @Navputer

What operating system are you working out of?

I don't mind blurry text as the second monitor is for rear passengers (kids) to watch video.

Here's the odd thing. I plug the adapter in, and windows XP does not see it. I plug in an 8-pin s-video cable i have with 2 rca video out and windows responds with a chime and TV-out then becomes available. I've come to the conclusion it's windows XP. Unless of course someone has gotten the adapter working under XP - then i need to with plan b.

P.S. Trader007 may have a point. The chipset and release of different models may be floating about. Who knows?

I am running Window XP SP2 but with the original mb (cd in the box) drivers. I did not update the drivers like others cause everything worked fine.

I plugged in the adapter then turned on the PC, intel control panel showed a dual monitor connection (primary/secondary). When I unplug it, it went back to single monitor. I can check my mb version but definitely I am running Windows XP.

Just upgraded to this motherboard, and operation is much faster than my old M10000. The only issue I see is sometimes when booting, if you hit the F2 key to soon to try to enter the BIOS setup, it gets stuck there until you remove power from the board. No matter how many reboots you do, it will still be stuck there until you remove power from the motherboard..

Regarding the wireless router...what kind of adapter are you using it for?
