I think if us UK folk hang fire for a couple of weeks they'll start popping up all over the shop at a reasonable price![]()

Wow! Thanks very much for that. As soon as these are available here (it seems end of September by all accounts) this will be replacing my m10000 for sure, which incidentally uses 85ish% to watch a dvd or over 100% with Centrafuse running as well...
Really looking forward to these being available![]()
I installed my carpc into my pet Kangaroo, mate.
resume time? anyone tested it?
this board sounds very promising but is only half of the truth when it comes to need of a energy efficient board (not because we are green party fanatics but energy efficiency is the key for car pcs run from batteries).
cpu is of course very efficient but why do they use a chipset which uses the remain 20 watts. check the pictures and see the fan needed compared to the one for the cpu!!!
so intel, please. i will wait for the next one with energy efficient north and southbridge.
Fedex just droped mine off. Any more thoughts on power supplies? I was planning on an M2. Any reason why it wouldn't work with just a hard drive and a few non power hungry USB devices?
d945gclf2 test: http://www.car-pc.info/reviews/intel...earchterm=d945
in idle its not a lot better than the dg45fc http://www.car-pc.info/reviews/intel-dg45fc-review
d945gclf2: boot: 35 watt, idle 32 watt, last 38 watt, dvd load 43 watt
DG45FC : boot: 70 watt, idle 38 watt, last 70 watt, dvd load 44 watt with the E8500 processor. The E7200 uses 3 watt less in idle; and 10 watt less with full load
