Need help from someone with a powermate...

I'm trying to manually install a powermate and I have the software but XP is asking for the actual driver "powrmate.sys" and I just need someone to email me a copy of that file. It should be in your powermate folder or in your system32\drivers folder. I've tried looking all over the internet with no luck. Please help me out here... Been trying to get this fixed for a while and its ruining my install.

No I never got it fixed, thats one of the things that annoys me most, it only happens on one road it seems, I actually know the places on my drive that iGuidance freezes... I'm just trying to make a clean install and it's hard when no one helps you out. How many people here have powermates? It would probably have taken someone 2 minutes of their time to e-mail me the driver I needed to fix my problem.

Maybe, but it took me less than 2 seconds to locate that file on line. You can download it from here: http://driveragent.com/archive/9463/...rjonnju6a6q443. I just typed in "powrmate.sys" in the Google search bar.

As for the iGuidance problem, you thought it might be a corrupt map file. Did you reinstall it? Did it work? When you say you are trying to do a clean install and nobody will help you out, what exactly do you mean by that? Are they supposed to reinstall the map files for you?

The powermate file is longer of help to me. I have tried installing iGuidance several times with the same result. When I ask for help, I'm asking for ideas of what could be causing the problem.

Well, you should go back to that thread and post that you have tried installing iGuidance and it hasn't worked. You never know if someone will see that thread and help you out.

If you find the solution, you should also post it. You never know when someone will stumble on it and find the information useful. I've often found a years-old thread that saved me a lot of time and effort even though I never posted in it.
