USB Issues with Intel D945GCLF Windows XP - Help?

    Hey folks...

I am having some strange issues... I am unable to get USB devices noticed by Windows on my new system. I have not had this issue before.

I am currently downloading Service Pack 1 - Then upgrading to Service Pack 3 as I have an ollllddd system CD.

I am wondering and hoping that this is an issue with Windows not having the proper drivers to run the USB devices...

...now that I think about it... My last installs were slipstreamed with SP2 and SP3... I think this is one of the first installs using the CD...

    *fingers crossed*

Have you tried with a Windows XP with Service Pack 2? This could be the issue. I'm an Intel(R) engineer in Costa Rica with the team that does failure testing for most motherboards and Processors and we have not had this issue reported so I would try that. Also, you can try putting the board on a non-conductive surface. if all else fails and you have tried another power supply, call 916-377-7000 and get an RMA.

SP2 and 3 worked... Windows had to make it difficult, of course... Had to go into Hardware Profile and "Reinstall drivers"
