Look at their systems' specs and make some decisions. Then start buying parts.

ok, i was going to butcher a laptop i had lieing around, but it had a falty psu and i tryed fixing it but ultimatly...failed!
so, it has come to me having to buy and build my own! i have built many many computers, but nothing small, or not so power hungry as a carpc so im going to need some help!! haha
Basicaly im starting from scratch so im going to need to buy everything!
what i want is just something with a 7” touchscreen to handle my music, videos, Sat-Nav, Rear Camera, DVD/T.V, and some info on my car like on the go diagnostics, speed, and other info!

hmmmm not sure why this is in the software section as i posted it i hardware....
ahh well, since this is in software then can anyone recommend me software that will allow me to listen to my music, videos, satnav, bluetooth to my mobile phone, rear camera, and also show car diagnistics?

There are several quality front-ends that give easy access to functionality. All (or nearly all) of them can provide all the functionality you want.
Online vendors sell pre-built systems. You gather the specs from one of those. They have done the work by compiling specs that you can mimic.what do you mean online vendors that have already done the work???
Or, you can purvchase a pre-built system from one of those vendors.
