mpg display for older (OBD I) cars

    http://ecomodder.com/forum/opengauge...-computer.html

this was shown to me on pennocks fiero forum. its a cheap kit($39.51), to display the mpg on your car. it only works on fuel injected (FI) vehicles. will not work on carbed and older diesels. i dont know if newer diesels are electronic FI or still mechanical FI. maybe it will work on TBI vehicles. i dont see why it wouldnt. i have not looked enough into this to see if it will work on TBI or not.

well what i am really interested in is the information gathered and displayed and if it can be uploaded to a computer. then displayed on a front end.

what you need to do is modify these source code:
    http://opengauge.googlecode.com/svn/...no/mpguino.pde

delete all the lcd display function and put a new function that send the data to usb port.
It's written in C, anyone familiar with arduino board would done it easily.
