Definitely that board would be good for a car PC. As long as you don't try to watch Blu-ray or play FLACs while running the NAV system, you are good with a board like that.

I would recommend the Atom board to someone else, but I personally would get the C2D board. Most people don't drop that kind of money on a MB for their car... let alone their desktop!

I also E-mailed about the price and haven't heard yet.

If so, it is the same as the one you mentioned. It is a re-branded Commell LS series.

The board in this thread is much more powerful (obviously, being Core 2 Duo), but sucks more Watts and costs a bunch more...

Ya, the board I was taking about was the 3308480. The one from your other thread was the 3308370. There both atom boards I just couldn't figure why one was better than the other. In retrospect I should have posted this in that post.

I see. Difference between the atom boards is the CPU, but the CPUs are very similar. They have a different set of port options so that would be the determining factor: what ports you needed.
