Ya, but is there any reason that it wouldn't work? And would the heat sink be good enough without a fan?

Awkward conversation between a man and his Edge iPhone:

Man: umm....I going.....to...ummm...sell you on Ebay.
iPhone: What, why............don’t I surf the web well enough for you? Don’t I play all your favorite songs?
Man: It’s not that, your great. There’s never been another phone like you.
    iPhone: Then why?
Man: I just need money right now. You know how it is.
iPhone: It’s another phone isn’t it!
    Man: ah....no.............really...........I.........ah ....
iPhone: It’s that G1 you were checking out isn’t it!
    Man: No...........really.....you know I don’t like keyboards
iPhone: Wait! It’s my sister isn’t it? You selling me to bye a new iPhone 3G aren’t you? How could you. Just because she’s all sexed up in that black plastic. Oh and I’m sure that fact that she’s “fast” has nothing to do with it.
    Man: ahhh...........
iPhone: You bastard leaving me for a younger phone, my own sister!
Man: I’d keep you both but I can’t afford it.
iPhone: You gadget whores are all alike!

    I like that story

Definitely that board would be good for a car PC. As long as you don't try to watch Blu-ray or play FLACs while running the NAV system, you are good with a board like that.

I would recommend the Atom board to someone else, but I personally would get the C2D board. Most people don't drop that kind of money on a MB for their car... let alone their desktop!

I meant which one in my "other post". But I think you mean this:

New Atom 3.5" board - Global American 3308370

If so, it is the same as the one you mentioned. It is a re-branded Commell LS series.

The board in this thread is much more powerful (obviously, being Core 2 Duo), but sucks more Watts and costs a bunch more...

Ya, the board I was taking about was the 3308480. The one from your other thread was the 3308370. There both atom boards I just couldn't figure why one was better than the other. In retrospect I should have posted this in that post.

    Thanks

I see. Difference between the atom boards is the CPU, but the CPUs are very similar. They have a different set of port options so that would be the determining factor: what ports you needed.
