    Alpine CDA-7949 audio input with volume control

    How do I get volume control (from the deck) while inputing audio from an external source?

    I have tried several AI-net adapters with no luck (they input audio but no volume control).

    Can I take apart the CD reader and attach an audio input to there somehow? Or can the optical link in the back be used to do this?

    1-time bump.

    Too bad nobody makes CD's you can stick into the deck that will line up with the laser..
