    Post Palm Pilot Control ?

Has anyone ever tried to use an attached Palm Pilot to control the mp3 player? If so can you direct me to some useful information?

    Hi,

    Yes,

I tried, I found two Winamp plugin on the web
booth worked great even if I finally
    stopped my choice on DOS...

Once had nice feature like playlist and song browsing... Anyway not while driving screen is too small, same for the button I found them twoo small on the touch screen.
Might be good to have a stop if you want to skip a song...

    Simply follow this http://www.palmgear.com/software/ans...icksearch2=MP3

    and you'll find em.

    Have fun.

There is a piece of software that was called PalmAMP (they got into a little trouble over the name and changed it to WinAMP remote control). I think that's the one Luc was talking about. You should be able to get it from www.ironcreek.net except for the fact that their site is STILL messed up. They're also supposedly releasing a USB version for the Visor users (like myself).

    Question

Old el, handspring is selling a serial docking station on their site... Maybe if you cant stand to wait you could get that and use PalmAMP....

Its a very interesting idea for controlling the stereo. Just one quick question for Luc, do you use the Palm just as control or do you also use an LCD for screen information?

I used to use a palm 3 and palmamp for control and display. I also had a numeric keypad for easier song changing. I think it was a big pain in the *** so I bought a 4" LCD. The display was too small and the screen got messed up if I left it in the car (the screen did turn back to normal though.)

I thought about getting the serial cradle, but the Visor doesn't stay put.
