YES! I was just reading about that on engadget.

It's the same chipset as Apple uses in its new MacBook notebooks,
I wonder if apple is planning on surprising everyone at MacWorld with a netbook of their own.

I gotta get my hands on one of them...

    It certainly looks promising.

I have read a few articles and previews, but there's very little about power consumption, especially with the 3D graphics accelerator. If the chipset draws a large amount of power, then it may be iffy for vehicle use, or not usable at all due to power requirements.

Also, understand that these are prototype boards for show only. We'll see if a miniITX board or anything smaller actually makes it to market.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

The 3d accel was the one question I had about it as well. Just how much power will this thing need. If you aren't running something that needs it, I would have a hard time imagining it being too bad, but we'll have to wait and see. I like the size.

NVIDIA claims that a netbook running with the Ion platform should have the same battery life as one running on the conventional Atom + 945G setup.

The reference design definitely look promising. Hopefully the manufactures will do something interesting with it.
