Nano or Pico ITX @ 2ghz+?

    Good Afternoon!
I've done a fair amount of searching, and I can't seem to find what I am looking for.
Are there any nano or pico itx motherboards that are 2ghz or higher? I plan on using the mini itx dg945fc, but the form factor of a nano itx/pico itx is a bit better. I would like to use the double din bybyte chassis/case for the PC and screen.

I believe the fastest of the via boards is the SN series or something, up to 1.8Ghz, but if you wan't fast in a small package, look at 3.5" SBCs instead from ex. Commell or Portwell. The LV-372/371 is quite a powerhouse for it's size.

Alright, you threw me for a loop there. Back to noob HQ, what is a 3.5" SBC? I see you are using one of the LV series. Are there any rough/laggy areas for the setup? Or does it perform pretty much flawless.

All google results pull up embeded solutions. I'm assuming its another word for tiny form factor(ex. pico) that can be "embeded" for other uses?

sbc is just another word for single board computer, which is commonly used for the smaller embedded motherboards available from vendors like Commell, 3.5" is just a form factor like nano-itx, which is the same size as a regular harddisk 3.5inches. My setup is actually the ls-372 now, with a T7500 core 2 duo cpu and 2 gig of memory, with a CF card to boot from, and there is absolutely no laggy areas on that platform, it is however quite expensive. Take a look here : http://www.commell.com.tw/Product/SB...ed%20miniboard

and prices for some are here : http://www.bvm-store.com/ProductCate...ubCategoryId=2

2GHz 2GHz - but what kind of 2GHz? this freq with a VIA C3/C7 or transmeta CPU is nearly equal to nothing... an old northwood celeron / P4 at 2GHz is a bit slow too, but a core solo / duo / core2 or any newer AMD Athlon beats the previous CPUs at 1200-1500MHz... so, only the freq means nothing...

there are several different intel and amd CPU based mobo in nano/pico ITX form, for example comell boards, but the ITX size is much cheaper in most case

    Touche FPeter...
I guess I would have to say Core 2 is what I am looking at. It simply seemed that most of the boards I was interested in, were around 2ghz. Therefore, it was a pretty easy base to make a post about. But I was wrong...lol.

I'm looking to run videos or music w/ gps and no slow down. I was also like the ability of using it as an HTPC(That's certainly secondary...for those cold harsh weeks where my mustang is undriveable). Overkill is never a bad thing if I wanna dabble with more advanced uses.

The 371-374 boards seem pretty sick.

The reason I'm thinking of pico/nano is the fact that I could use a case similar to this:
http://bybyte.com/nano2din0308.htm It'd be awesome to have an all in one solution that is slightly difficult with a mini-itx board.

Bybyte does have a mini-itx/LCD chasis, but it's an inch deeper than the pico/nano one. If I can fit the mini-itx I certainly will. A bit of measuring is coming up on my next day off.
