How many fusion brains are possible?

I have not experimented with fusion brain yet, but I wanted to know if there is some limit to the number you can use. Some time within the next few years, I plan to make a beastly car pc which controls EVERYTHING, yes everything (even remote driving for the hell of it). For this it seems I would need to use many fusion brain boards, is it possible to use an unlimited number of fusion brain boards?

You are limited by USB alone. 127 devices - 1 for the root hub, and -1 for each hub are allowed to be connected to each root device.

Also keep in mind the more devices you have connected the more the USB bus is being used. So the maximum update speed is reduced.

About how much bandwidth does each fusion brain need/want?

Bandwith is shared around 250 kbps. So 250Hz max. Add 1 more brain at max communication settings, and the new max is 125Hz. But what you do is you put all the time sensitive data on 1 Brain, and have that update fast with the other things like temperature update less. The temperature now and 1ms from now dont feel any different so it can go on a slow update brain.
