    CPU/Heatsink Selection

I'm looking at ordering a new motherboard/CPU and am considering this CPU and this one as well. For the price, the dual core would seem the obvious choice, but I'm concerned about cooling it.

Now that brings me to my second question. Does anyone know of an active, or passive, cooler that is slim enough to fit in a carpc case, yet also supply adequate cooling for either of those processors? I'm hoping to get something that will cool the dual core processor, but if it simply puts out too much heat I'll go with the single.

    Thanks
    Richard

Dual core isn't much more difficult to cool than a single. The question is more about whether you really need the processing power in your car -- what are you going to do with it? The only things that processing power really gets you in a regular carpc are arguably faster boot and possibly faster GPS route calculation if the program is multi-threaded.

Not going to be doing anything out of the ordinary with the pc. I can see some of my friends trying to run GPS, playing a song, etc all at once though, and the dual core would be nice for the multi-tasking.

I didn't really address it in my first post, but will the stock cooler fit inside a standard sized case?
