how to use a USB hub

i have a problem

i got a cheap USb 2.0 hub (4 ports) unknown company

and when i connect it to my car pc it works (led turn on) but none
of the stuff that connected to the hub wont work until i remove the hub
and plug it again...

i tried to connect the hub to a different port
i tried to use only one device on the hub
i tried to connect stuff to the hub after the car pc finished booting
nothing works...

i need to remove the hub and plug it again for everything to work

on the hub i need to use a very low power consuming devices
so i dont worry about the power (car2pc, small mp3 player, ect.)

i have VIA EPIA EN15000G motherboard
and i don't think the problem is in the hub
i tried it on my home pc and everything is working fine

by the way... i'm not the only one with this problem

please help...

The hub works fine with your desktop pc and not into your car.. have you tried using another hub (branded) just to double check?

i haven't but it seems that i'm not the only one having this problem...

maybe it's something in the BIOS
