Anybody?
So I have an MSI RS482M motherboard with two 512mb sticks of 400mhz DDR1 (PC3200). The system has an Athlon64 3000+ AMD processor.
I have my touchscreen, a laser mouse, a Conwise Bluetooth adapter, and an X-Micro 802-11G wireless adapter, and a small non-powered 4-port USB hub attached via USB.
The HDD is a 250GB SATA drive.
I'm running Windows-XP SP3. A cold boot takes about 35-40 seconds.
A hibernate resume takes about 2 min.
It doesn't take much time to go into hibernation, but it takes FOREVER to resume.
I'm using RideRunner, and Winamp. Otherwise, there's no other software besides the basics, like Flash, Adobe reader, etc.
I've tried using only 1 stick of ram. and it makes no difference, so I know it's not just the ram file size.
I've checked, and my HDD does have Cache writing enabled.
I even did a complete OSRI (OS reinstall), and it made no difference.
Any ideas?

Bump.
I ran CHKDSK /R tonight. Found and repaired a few errors. Still no difference on the hibernate time.
Disabled all the startup items. No change.

Have you tried disconnecting peripherals one at a time or even just all of them to begin with to see if anything happens?

Go into the BIOS...look (I think) in integrated periphrials, or Advance...
Look for IDE Bus mastering and make SURE it's ENABLED.
I have the sister to your mainboard, and disabling bus mastering causes the same thing to happen on my PC.
Also in Power Management in BIOS, set your suspend mode to S1/STR, NOT auto or S3/POS
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have tried removing ALL peripherals. I work tech support for Dell, so that's always the first step I do to troubleshoot such issues. Even with all peripherals removed, I saw no difference. I'll give those bios settings a shot though, and report back.
Thanks again for the replies.
