Pioneer Aux interface.... wiring up ... how?
I've got a cd-rb20 pioneer interface and I'm just checking the wiring guide with my stereo's and I'm a bit confused.... (it is the right interface for my stereo btw)
The interface has three wires,
Black - for an earth - can do that one
Yellow and yellow......
The first yellow is to be connected to a constant 12V supply - which I assume I could wire to the yellow on the wiring harness for the stereo
to quote both install diagrams
Stereo - " yellow - to terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch postion"
Interface - "yellow - to terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch postion"
I take it I have a match there
Ok the other yellow just has a connector on it (one that something may or may not plug into)it has a "+battery output" label on it
To quote the interface instructions
Yellow " Connect to MultiCD unswitched power supply"
and the stereo instuctions..... nothing!
there is a thin black wire that goes from the head unit.. and the cd changer doesn't work without it... could this be an earth? Does unswitched power supply mean another constant supply? if so why does it need two constant supplies all the time.... I'm confused!!
Re: Pioneer Aux interface.... wiring up ... how?
Usually it's black red and yellow, ground +12 and remote...this confuses me too. Mail Pioneer or ask the place you got it from..
The second yellow power wire is just a pass through.
What do you mean by a pass though? I tried to load up that site but it didn't work do you mean it doesn't have to be wired up....or can be wired up to other optional equipment to power it something like that?
any of the yellow works, use one, and if you get another unit that needs power use the other one.
As the man said..
Dunno why it didnt work, I checked it before posting, and just cicked it again.
Works for me!
I know it's old,
but thanks guys for posting it
the 2 yellows were confusing
(I just picked one up, and will be running the carputer through the RCA jacks and a separate input through the bus, now I can select the 2 inputs from the HU)
