Zotac N630I-D-E M/B w/ Nvidia 7100, E5300 cpu, Xenarc 700IDT, M2-ATX, XP, RR & DFX 5.1.
I've read through these posts a few times now and as Im new to carputing Id like a bit of help regarding power supplies for these.
Which is going to be the best solution -
Zotac ION-ITX-A with its 19v DC external supply + CNX-P1900/CNX-P2140
Or
Zotac ION-ITX-D with a 20pin ATX connector + M3-ATX 6V-24V 125W Intelligent Car PSU
Want to install it in an M350 Universal Mini-ITX Enclosure
Also will need power for a dash mounted touch screen, I assume I will need a seperate PSU for this also
Thanks for any help!
Dan
you can use your CPU PSU to power the screen, just make sure you dont use all its power. Ex my board eats about 15W (mesured) monitor claims to eat 5W (hmmm) PSU claims to give 125W so technocally im only usning 20 out of 125 for both monitor and touchscreeen ;-)

There is no "solution" other than use a monitor with DVI or HDMI input. You cannot run a vga monitor off of the DVI out on this board. Plain and simple.
I know it seems like it should work, it has all the right holes, etc, but I have not been able to get VGA out of it at all. I'd love to find out why though.
