+ Flash ROMs have limited write cycles so its not good idea to install on flash
You should be able to disable all other bootable devices but the one that is important. I have all but the hard drive enabled.

My previous board (D201GLY) had only 4 USB ports so I had 2 powered hubs. The only USB thing I had plugged directly into the MB was my touchscreen. Everything else (DiNovo, Bluetooth, 2 USB to serial adapters, mouse, and thumb drives) was plugged into hubs. When I tried this setup with the new board it did not work at all. I now have 8 USB ports so I started eliminating the hubs and everything worked well but I needed a hub up front to use when I needed a thumb drive plugged in or tether my iphone for internet, so I added 1 powered hub up front and the PC would not boot with any type of input device plugged into the hub. It would not even POST. After weeks of trial and error I have everything plugged directly into MB except bluetooth and flash drives and the PC is reliable. I have never seen a PC not like input devices on a hub before. I tried 4 different hubs with the same results. I turned off legacy support in the BIOS and every other setting I could find but it did the same thing.
OK I hve resolved the USB booting issue and I can now say this is a great board! I changed the USB setting in the BIOS from "high speed"(default setting) to "full speed" and the system boots with mice and keyboards plugged into hubs. Boots cold in 26 secs and resumes from hibernate to music in 22 secs. I like it very much!

I don't have an ION, but I have the Zotac 630i, I looked tonight but did not find this setting in my BIOS. I am having some issues with my USB Hub, do you remember/know where you went specifically for this setting?

I believe it is the first tab on top then it is the bottom menu in that screen. Above it in that screen were APM settings and such. When I entered that menu it is right in the middle of the screen. I am using the latest BIOS available also.

    so far, so good

I received my IONITX-A-U Thursday and had a little time to play around with it. I've got an M350 case on it's way, but I went ahead & attached my WD scorpio & installed Windows 7 (x86) via. a flash drive.

I've installed the nVidia drivers off the CD, but nothing else yet. The autorun setup app wasn't able to start. Don't yet know if the HDMI audio or the other coax/SPDIF work, but I'll try testing all that stuff out tomorrow. All of the devices appear to be functional according to device manager.

I've been playing with the WoL feature... at first, when I put it into hibernate, it'd immediately just start back up, but I got that fixed it seems. I can wake it from hibernate, but not from shutdown state... even though the ethernet adapter appears to be alive.

Next thing I'm going to test is feeding the coax digital audio into my RFX-8250 headunit & building a VGA adapter so it can drive my OEM nav screen.

Anybody else out there using one of these 19v Zotac boards in their car? Seems pretty straight forward & should be similar to using a Mac Mini, but not sure...

Very interested in your review. Could you post this under the "Review Palace" so that your review does not get lost?

    19V adapter

    Hello,
is there such a thing as a 19V DC-DC smart adapter? I have a variant of this board (Asrock Ion box) which is very handy because of the instant-on software. But I'm struggling to find an adapter that does 12 to 19V conversion and is smart i.e. shuts down the computer when battery drops. I could use a smart 12V DC-DC converter and connect a 12V to 19V adapter to it but its not very elegant as it would just remove the power from the computer instead of shutting it down.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers
