Intel D945GCLF2 to go EOL in July 09

Just a quick FYI for everyone out there Intel has announced that it is planning to EOL the D945GCLF2 AKA LF2 by August of this year, which is much sooner then their roadmap called for. It will be replaced be the D945GCLF2D which is an identical board EXCEPT it doesn't have a S-Video output. The LF2D is on the market now and is $4 cheaper then the LF2 and will run through Q1 2010.

So the S-video is the only difference? I was looking at the pictures on Newegg trying to figure it out and that was all I found.

Anyone know if Intel is restricting everyone from using the US15 chipset with the Atom 330 in mini-ITX boards? Or is everyone just being lazy about it?

The S-video is the only difference between the 2. I dont know of any restrictions on the US15 but the 330 is such a short term chipset not a lot of companies want to devlope a board around it. It doesnt help that they know they will have to compete against a sub $90 board from Intel either.
The follow up board to the LF2/2D will be released in Q4 of 2009. Right now it is all still confidential and info is still hard to come by.
