Anyone tried a Zotac board

I have been looking at a Zotac mini itx board as it offers quite a bit more than the intel boards. I just have never heard of them and wanted to know the success rate of them.

I love mine, I'm a fan. Haven't had any problems with the two that I have - but in all fairness I've only used 'em both maybe 5-6hours each.

i got the wifi version of it and just by the specs it seems great... 12 usb ports, vga dvi and hdmi, optical and spif audio... main reasons i brought it... just waiting for my cpu so i can power it up..

same, here. I got the 9300itx wifi as a VM/NAS machine since it was the only mini-itx to support 8GB of RAM. i was surprised i hadn't heard more of it before a month or so ago since it has so many great features.

I have the 8200 ITX WIFI which is the AMD/NVidia version. I'm running an underclocked X2 5000e. I was going to use this in the car but it wouldn't play nice with my M2-ATX, so I'm going with a dual-core atom. I'll use the Zotac for a new HTPC in the house.

The Zotac is very solid and well-made.

i was also looking into this one as it seems to have quite a lot of features. I was trying to decide between that one and the intel board.

it may be overkill for a car pc unless you need the graphics power. it's perfect for an HTPC with HDMI, eSATA, and the 9300 GPU.

I don't know about overkill, or perfect for HTPC depending on your set-up and how much it has to handle.

Fairly good article about it at anandtech.

To me, it's perfect for a car install, decent options later down the road, and will handle blue-ray disks should you wish to play them in the car later down the road as well. The previous models fell more than a bit short of seamless in that regard as I understand.

yea not the ion board, and i am ok with overkill as i figure i wont have to upgrade for a while if i get a nice 3 ghz processor dual core and 4 gb ram haha
