    Pre 1995 OBD 2 interfacing...

    Hello,

I have scored the web and have really found nothing when it comes to interfacing a PC with OBD 1. I have completed my car PC project and now would like to add somethings like this to my setup. The vehicle in question is a 1994 Dodge Ram Van B250. I have located the OBD plug it is in the engine compartment under the cowl. Any help would be sincerly appreciated.

    Thank You

    Leo

the problem is that obd 1.1 really does not exists, before the standard obd II every car manufacturer used their own protocol.
i would suggest taking a look in the obd sub section maybe you can find something

OBD I generally didn't offer much other than a few trouble codes. You won't be able to get the fancy gauges and stuff this way. Though, with a bit of ingenuity, you could potentially tap into the wire for your existing gauges (assuming they all have electric senders) and monitor those with the computer.
