    Audio cable for speakers?

    Hi all...

Quick question, if I was to try and build a car PC for my Honda, how would I interface the sound card with the cars speakers?

Is there a 2-strand wire somewhere which id simply solder a jack onto and then plug it into the sound card, or is it more elaborate?

Youd need an amp, get a minijack -> RCA Y-adapter to go from the minijack-out on your soundcard, to the left/right RCA inputs on the amp, then the speakers hook right into that.

to get sound into your headunit, youd usually use a cd changer auxillary input adapter. OR a FM modulator.

I am using the cd changer plug.
And from your cound card, you can buy a RCA <~~> audio plug wire.
    Mine needs to be updated.

All the above posted is very true, another thing to remember is that Computer Sound Cards output a "passive" output, I mean passive as in no power will be enough to power any type of speakers.

most computer sound cards put out an "active" signal-meaning low voltage. you always want to split your signal with a crossover on this line. not after the amp which will be "passive"
