    5v Powered usb hub help

so i would like to hook a powered usb hub in my car as my mac mini does not contain enough usb ports.

i have NO idea what usb hub to buy that i could hook directly to a 5v rail or power source (i have a 5v off my psu directly for this sort of thing)

if someone could point me towards a usb hub that would work with 5v dc please it would be such great help.

    Thanks,
    dhantiflag

also i don't know if this is possible or what not but my mac mini has a firewire port that i am not utilizing so the if the hub could connect to that, that would be awsome.

Most powered usb hubs with 4 or more ports need 5V @ ~2-3Amps
I've seen hubs that want 7.5V, but they're rare.
Just go to bestbuy, get one, check the adapter.
If it's wrong you can always return it...

USB and Firewire are two different things, it might be possible, but it's highly unlikely...
