Hi all. I guess this is my first post although I've been reading the forums for a while now. I'm using a netbook as a carputer, and looking for the cheapest way to get xm on it. From my searching, I understand an xm direct tuner with an adapter would do the trick. I currently have a Delphi Skyfi2. My question is, is it possible to use the Skyfi2 in place of the xm direct tuner? In other words, can the Skyfi2 be connected to the netbook somehow? I've been searching around, and found one post that asks this same question, but it was from 2005 I believe and it was unanswered, which is kind of leading me to believe this is not possible.
Alternatively, I've seen some XM PCR's on ebay. My questions about this are - 1) is there anything additional I need if I get the PCR (adapter cables, etc), and 2) I know XM discountinued the PCR. If I buy one now, will I be able to activate it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Joe
