    what kind of switch will allow.....




    what kind of switch will allow me to swtich between controlling the rcjoycon and the radio via the sterring wheel controls?

    i need to switch both wires (data and Ground) from the steering wheel fully over to either the radio or carpc.

    the maker of the rcjoycon recommeds that you do not connect the joycon along with the volume contols.

    i intially tried to share the ground with the radio and joycon, and simply swtich the data line.
    but that created a short circuit and the radio was not able to be controlled.

    A short? Odd. The HU might be generating its own voltage to read the resistance, however.

    What you're looking for is a DPDT switch (dual-pole, dual throw). Connect the steering wheel controls to the center two terminals and the two devices to each of the outside pairs of terminals.
