    Line In Only Plays 2 Channels

    Any extra audiio input I add to my carPC through the line in on my sound card is only played back over front two channels...

    Is there a way to 'upmix' the input?

    I'd be satisfied with just copying/distributing the sound over the remaining channels, is it possible?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    most of the tyme Line-in is a stereo and it seamd like you want to have 5.1 output. Fow that you need downmixing. If you happen to have RLT - realteck sound chip then just isntall their drivesr and in the program settings use downmix checkbox (most of the time it is activated by default)

    If you're using Winamp, you can just use the line-in plugin and the DirectSound output plugin and it's all automatic.

    well if he is ruining RR then hes definitely got WinAmp =)
    no luck on CF though
