    Hibernate Initiation Problems

I'm trying to find out if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to resolve it. I don't really have a problem resuming from hibernate but i have a huge problem initiating hibernate. When I turn off my car it takes like 30-45secs for my computer to actually register the command. So for instance I would turn off my car and i would still have full access to my carputers functions for 30-45s before the computer finally kicks off hibernation. I know i can just switch my m2 setting to hardoff in 2hrs setting but that is a lot of work and i'm looking for a solution that doesn't consist on me pulling the computer out.

    Has anyone experienced this?

ok so if comp waits for i min before the process starts that most likly u got some process that can not be shutdown... due to error or its general nature ... first kill all un-needed proccesses and seee how will hybernation goes.... if no luck, unplug all usebs and see if thta helps

also use bootwis to benchmark the situation.

I tried to see if it was a service this morning by disabling all of the services(all that aren't needed for operation that is) and seeing if hibernate was kicked off faster and it took about 26 secs. That is better but it seems like its still taking too long. I'm going to try bootwis tonight and see if that helps any.

I don't have many processes starting up. Just Centrafuse and some sound stuff.
