why you guys stick on this 800x480? 848x480 is the 16:9 resolution, which show great picture on lilliput 7" (same screen has Xenarc).
Yes Only issue is to get the resolution :-)
probably registry could help with this.. I'll do it tomorrow, now I am half sleeping in my bed :-)

    zvi,

The screens themselves only have 800x480 pixels. No more, no less.

I personally use 800x600, and get the display to fill itself.

    It looks pretty good IMO

actually... w/the nvidia drivers, you can set custom resolutions through the driver control panel.. no need for powerstrip

I was able to get my Epia M9000 onboard graphics to display 848x480 on the Xenarc, however I had to slew it horizontally about 48 pixels every time I booted up. I got tired of doing that so went back to 800x600, which gets stretched to fit and doesn't look all that bad.

but still, is there any tweak, I can use to get widescreen resolution from VIA noboard VGA adapter?
I digged to my registry, changed all records to 848x480, but Lilly shows still 640x480 streched

OK, bear with me, I got this by chance and it may not happen to you

    1. Set you bios so that the display is CRT/TV
    2. Change resolution on epia m10000 to 848x480 (control panel|display|setting|advanced|List all modes), yes it looks ugly and jaggedy
    3. plug in epia tv-out to video1 or video2 of DSCustoms monitor (which I presumed the same with Xenarc?)
    4. Click control panel|display|setting|advanced
    5. Click "S3Display" tab
    6. You should see "CRT and "TV"
    7. Enable "TV" and click on the picture of the TV
    8. Set TV Type "NTSC" and TV Output "RGB (SCART)"
    9. Click Advanced
    10. Click "+" on Size to the max
    11. Click "down" for position
    12. Click OK until come out of Display properties. You should have 852x480 displayed on your Xenarc, and your screen will look nice As a bonus you'll have AV1 or AV2 having output from your computer.

Don't ask me why this is so and may I remind you again that this may not happen to you . But if it does, please let me know too
