    Powering a ELO Intellitouch

The power requirments I need to for the ELO is +5vDC, nominal(+-5%) 140 mA, typical at .5vDC, the pin layout is as follows.
    Code:
    pin signal
    1----DC+
    2----DC- Tied to pin 4
    3----N/C
4----DC- tied to pin, this is where my question is at.
5----LED remote, would I have to connect this?
    6----Key, and this?
    7----N/C
    8----Chassis Ground, self explanatory
9----reset, and this? reset for what?
    10--N/C
My question is if I use DC+ and DC- and the chassis ground to ground it all out, will it still work properly? is that all I need for the touch overlay to work?

Where can I get the DC-?

The touchscreen controller puts out to the LCD inverter, 12vDC, 5vDC and -7vDC, will I be able to use the LAST two voltages mentioned to power up the ELO? or should I use another source for power?

note:if I were to use the LCD controller these connections will be made in parallel.

Thanks to SuperMattTheHero for his support on this issue.

Although not here on the forums, we just finished a pretty extensive AIM convo.

    Osirisdon,
Could you post your resolution in the case that someone has the same question and searches for it?

OK well the -DC is just ground, as we agreed on. To get the 5vDC to power up the ELO touch overlay just use, the 5vDC wire comming from your ATX power supply. Its the red wire that connects to power your hard drive or cdrom. I would also use the ground provided by the same bundle.

I was thinking about using a 5vDC line comming from the LCD controller, but I really dont want to put another load on it. Ide rather use power from a separate source.

I emailed ELO to see if I HAVE TO use the LED remote, KEY and reset lines. So ill keep you posted.
