I never written C in a hardware programming context, but if its not too time consuming i'm definitely up for it.

I was thinking of calling this product the USB Squid. Please post suggestions at the end of this thread!

I could also use a logo design for the sticker on the top of the product. If anyone wants to create a logo with the name that would be great.

Any help that is used could possibly be rewarded in the future, but no promises

Also, any software help would be greatly appreciated to get this going!

I am intrigued by the fact that it won't need the computer to function for all of it's features. At the moment, I do not have to much of a need for a device like it(or a fb), but will definatly keep it in mind for future projects

Sure love it. Especially the enclosure and no polling.

Request: Make an event based programing interface. I want to select change from a drop down list and write code for the change event.
    Good Luck

The "programming interface" will not be anything like what you guys are used to, not at first anyway.

What's going to happen is this: if an event triggers, a report gets sent to the PC. If you know how to program, you can interface with the DLLs and intercept it. If you can't program, youll have to get someone who knows how to or write some other type of script. I will make it so that an EXE file can be launched or a BAT file or something.

Everything is event-based, however, you have to be able to catch the events.

I really like the idea of the product, it is something i would use for sure.
if you need a tester, i am your man
as far as name, I would have to give that some thought, although i do not believe Squid is an appropriate name, given that fact that it doesn't look like one, but I do understand the idea behind the name considering its many outputs

    EDIT: NAMES: Nilok Control Cube
    - Check out OpenMobile
    - OSDash

I will be requiring testers in the near future, as soon as I get the first run done there will probably be up to 4 test units of 20 going out. I will be needing someone on the forum to review as well so I'll keep it in mind.

Squid was more or less a code name. I was also thinking along the lines of "cube" but it doesn't seem appropriate either. I want something unique if possible, IE: cube -> qube.

    Keep em comin
