would be good for someone who bought it to check if the 5V out on the usb ports are stabilised, as this probably wasn't designed for fluctuating voltage.
Tigerdirect has the Ultra ULT33056 7 port USB Hub for $29.98 and it takes 12v DC in (yes, 12v, not 5v). With Goggle checkout you can even get $5 off, if you add a filler item for $1.

99% sure as well it doesnt have voltage regulation. not much different then a 5v setup in that case to be honest..
Yeah, I guess you guys are right, I just got a little excited seeing a 12v one at a good price. I did order one, so we'll see if I fry it or not.![]()
either way, its still a good deal in my opinion.
You get a massive 7 usb port and all u have to do is connect it to ur psu's 12V and you're good to go.
i agree with punky - or you can get MP3CAR's Power Controller Card which costs $25 bucks for use with your monitor and use your existing USB hub.

Quick method for regulating 12+ to 12v steady. There's a voltage drop off of around 1v or so. Using a 7505 or 7509, you can get regulated 5v or 9v too respectively.
Note: Less then 1 amp load. You cannot get regulated 3amps by just using 3 7512s or the like, so don't try.
