Lowest power consumption and heat- Mini ATX
I have a project involving remotely deploying scientific equipment to record various environmental information. I am thinking of using many mini atx computers to collect the data remotely (running them off of 2 6V deep cycle batteries). However, I am having trouble locating specific power specs for the various boards. My main concern is how much power will it consume, and how hot does the board get. Since these will be deployed outside, it will be in a waterproof case, so heat may be an issue. Noise is also an issue, so a fanless motherboard is a must. I am also not concerned with video options or other fancy things, just a basic inexpensive motherboard that is very low on power consumption. I did look at a few that looked promising, but without specs for a lot of other boards out there it is hard to make an informed decision. So, that said, any recommendations ??? Thanks!!
