    EPIA hardware decoding gone with PCI video card?

    I haven't bought any of this stuff but my purchases will be based on what I find here. I want to use the M10000 with a widescreen 7" display (NTSC, not VGA). The only solution for me would be to use a video card supported by TVTool. Will I lose the hardware decoding if I do this?

    Also one more thing. Every PCI graphics card I have doesn't support standby or hibernate. Does anyone know of any that do? Thanks.

    yes, but you probably won't notice if your video card is good. A lot of the functionality of the decoder is based on functions on the video card. While it won't be a full decoder, the hardest parts can be accelerated through the card.

    And atleast the m9000 integrated graphics does "home theatre" resolutions (780i, etc).

    Until VIA decides to support 16:9 or even 3:2 resolutions on the tv out, I'm going to have to use an Nvidia based PCI card and TVTool. I just want to know if I lose the hardware mpeg2 decoding. Is it built in to the southbridge or is it in the graphics chip? Thanks.

    I already told ya

    It's in the graphics chip. If you use another card, you will not have hardware decoding

    Whats a good PCI graphics card to use then?

    I read that GeForce 4 MX cards cant be modified with powerstrip.
