But then it would send voice to the coils in the sub, correct? I just want any sound, I want the LFE specifically, will this work?
Easy solution: If you're already amping your front speakers, use another RCA from it's pass-through to your sub amp.

I currently have my PC going through my head unit but my plans are to remove the head unit eventually. I am interested to see how you get this working. Though I am using only on AMP as opposed to two separate.

From what I read the D945GCLF only supports 4 channels...
"Desktop Board D945GCLF has a 4-channel (two independent 2-channel audio streams)" It says nothing about a 5th (4.1), 6th (5.0), or 7th channel
Thats why im getting the D945GCLF2 Which supports 5.1 audio

I'll be damned, you're right. Here's what the manual says for the D945GCLF Audio:
Although further down in the document you get this:Audio • RealTek* ALC662 audio codec
• Support for Intel® High Definition Audio
• Support for 4-channel audio (two independent 2-channel audio streams)
What else would the microphone input be retasked to? For anyone interested, here's the manual for this board: http://www.intel.com/support/motherb.../CS-029157.htm• Back panel audio connectors that are configurable through the audio device
drivers:
― Line in/retasking jack
― Line out/retasking jack
― Mic in/retasking jack

So I tried this tonight and it worked perfect, thanks! I thought I'd get a bunch of voice sounds coming through to the subwoofer but I just set the passthrough on the other amplifier to LF (low frequency) and it pounds. It's probably even louder than it was before with running it from the motherboard. Sounds great.
