connecting car pc to head unit.

Hi. I own a vrx868rvd and I have built myself a car computer to connect to the unit to use the screen (don't need touchscreen). The pc has s-video out which I can connect to video in (composite) but need to connect to sound. What is the 10pin connector on the back of the unit that the ipod connects to and can i get phono to this or will this take audio and video?

    Many thanks.

if your head unit supports video, than you will also be able to use the ipod connector for video(most don't). you shold be able to use the ipod connector pinout is very well documented, so finding the correct pins should not be a problem--the problem could be how your head unit switches to ipod input-- do you need to manually switch it, or does it detect that there is something plugged in?

Thanks for all the suggestions. As the head unit didn't come with the phono inputs/outputs I scoured ebay and found a phono harness plug that fits to this stereo which will hopefully solve all my problems. If not sure I'll be back!
    Again, many thanks.
