1. On my DVD card the video out will only work on DVD playback
2. I dont think so.(based on what I have seen from the 3 different DVD cards I have owned) now granted that none of them sounded like the one you have so YMMV on both questions.
Ok, I was given an MPEG Layer 2 Decoder card that has TV out on it. On the inside of the board there is a connector that would connect to a standard VGA card. My question is, would I be able to hook the VGA card to the MPEG card and use the TV out feature or would it only work while playing DVD's? Also, on a similar topic, my video card recently went out, age I guess and I have a replacement but its not mine so its not permanent. My 2nd question is that could I hook this MPEG card to my old VGA card and use the 15pin monitory connector off the MPEG card. I dont know anything about DVD etc, but just thought Id see if this thing was worth my time without DVD. Anyway, thanx in advance.
