I was wondering if I will NEED any kind of reciever/HU with a carputer? Or can I just run the sound straight from the computer to my amplifier? If I can do this, how? Thanks.

Run it straight from the computer audio out to an amp by a jack to RCA cable.
hee hee I like Freestylers answer!!
Well I actually thought it was kinda prick, but whatever, no hard feelings! Sometimes its easier to get a new thread with your specific questions answered to your specific example.
Anyway, so I can run the sound straight from by board to the amp. If I get a M10000 will this give out 5.1 surround sound or do I need a seperate decoder? Also, do I need to run a certain kind of wire to get the 5.1?
Thanks again

it's a simple concept, if you search you'll see many have done what you want to do. the idea is to not clutter the forum with countless repeat posts, i'm actually pretty damn polite compared to some of the others that post about using the search :-DQuote:

Using the search is all good and fine, but did you ever think that I did that and wanted some new input? No you didn't because you didn't ask. I know Im new here and I don't mean to step on anyones feet but really, I've seen people in other forums that have no life and sit on there all day to make ******* comments and tell other users that they are going about things the wrong way without giving any postive input.
If helping someone else was your original intent and you didn't want to type a lot you had two options:
1) Leave it alone and not make a post
2) Link to another post that YOU found that might help.
Thats a lot more helpful that just telling someone the "Answer to all your questions" are other places in the form.
Now, back OT for all you people that positively reinforce other community members. Any other insights? Thanks.

well damn I had a big ol long thing typed out here and all the sudden the damn thing cleared for some reason like that part of my ram was cleared???? crap I aint typing it again. Dude, search. It's like an instant answer... .don't have to wait for people to respond to the post.
I'll answer your questions.
But First:
1. It is obvious you are either dense or didn't do any type of research beforehand.
I assume a little of both.
2. You seem like you may be a dick, but I'll
give you the benefit of the doubt.
3. This is a tight nit community here. We are all usually very helpful. But when some new guy comes in and asks a lot of repeat questions that have obviously been answered 831,467 times previously... Well then you may get some sarcasm. And his little joke about the search function was entirely justified, If you had took his post to heart, you would have had your answer in less than five minutes. Instead, you decide to wait, have someone else solve your problems, and have an argument in between.

No, you do not need a headunit.
You can use an amp.
You can hook up the m10000 directly from
the rear jacks without a decoder, but you will lose the micophone, etc jacks.
So, lightnen up, learn to search, drink a beer or two, and come on back now, ya hear ? :D
Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt...oh yeah and the quick answers too.
