    MO-CO-SO Closed down?

***Sorry if this is the wrong forum***

Due to a lot of the postive comments I had heard about experience with Chris and Mocoso, I turned to them when starting to build my car pc. I had a couple questions about their products before ordering. I sent an email and received no response for two days. I had seen a post on here stating that someone else was having trouble making contact. And Chris actually responded and said that they answer most emails in 8 hours and if you don't get a response within 24, to send another one. I did that.....waited 24 hours and have sent yet another again with no response. I have to assume based on their reputation that they have closed their doors. If not, I have some major concerns about purchasing products from a vendor whom you can not make contact with. I would be leary about customer service should you actually buy a product and have a problem. Does anyone have additional information about maybe why I can't get a response or should I just look elsewhere for products? Thanks!

I've purchased several things from mo-co-so over the past couple weeks with no problems. Everything shipped the same day.

I would guess any slowness to respond is related to the holidays and getting caught up from any backlog as I would assume he took some time off to be with family. The homepage was just updated with a new Lilliput special today from the previous one that expired on 12/24 so that would indicate being open for business.

Thanks for the replies guys. I too had considered the possibility of them taking some time off for the holidays. I would have hoped they would indicate that on their website to avoid any confusion or questions about delays (or contact as in my case). I have not tried calling, simply because email is much easier for me during the work day; however, I would assume that since they post email address for "questions or comments" that they would check email on a regular basis (unless of course they were on vacation as previously stated). I'm not knocking the guy, we all need a vacation, I was just looking for input from you guys as to what your experience was etc just to determine if I should shop elsewhere etc......

I got a response from them about an hour after I sent it last night at 9:30 pm. They are definitely still responding.

Very interesting Psycho. I send a TON of emails daily, so I know it's not a delivery problem. I guess I will just sit tight and hope they respond soon.

    ****Problem Solved****

For anyone who has been following this thread. I did indeed hear back from Chris at MOCOSO. He explained the delay had been attributed to the fact that they were in Vegas for CES. He explained that he intended to respond to my emails, but would have to do it when he was freed up. I only give a "play by play" on this simply in fairness to MOCOSO, as some of my expressed concerns above could have caused some questions for potential customers of theirs, and that certainly wasn't my intentions. Thank you.

I sent his ebay account a message a couple days ago and received a response the next day. I don't think the business is down.
I intend to phone tomorrow, and probably place an order for a monitor, I'll let you know the outcome!

I've never bought anything from them yet, but it's the vendor with the best reputation around here...it's incredible. I think I'm going to buy my next transflective and case from them, just waiting for the right time.

ok, just got off the phone with Mike. He said that Chris is at CES and that my (which i just placed) should be sent out today. I haven't received any merchandise yet, but I'm already quite happy with the service. mike passed me off to talk to the tech guy for a couple quick questions that he was happy to help with as well.

And their lilliputs are on sale right now, $164 for the 2009 model eby-701 500:1 contrast and 450nits brightness! pretty impressive price!
