I've bought an Atom board (D945GCLF) a few months ago to upgrade the current VIA EN15000 in my car.
This is the single core N230 Atom CPU @ 1.6Ghz board.
I've had nothing but troubles with it. I am now on my 2nd RMAed board, and I need to send it in for RMA again.
The board just dies after a few startup/shutdowns while installed in my car.
The board refuses to turn on. When power is attached, the CPU fan comes on, but the board does not POST.
I know the components work (RAM, HD) since I had the mobo running inside the house for a few weeks as a media Pc (watching movies on my TV).
I'm using the proper 1.9v memory for it.
The power supply is a M1ATX, which I've used for a couple of years with a VIA 10000 and a VIA EN15000 board.
Both the VIA boards work fine. I've replaced the mobo in the car back to the VIA EN15000, and it's been working flawless for the last week.
I don't know what to do? Sell the board after it comes back from RMA? Try to diagnose the problem further (I don't even know where to start)?
