Excellent radio reception. As described, automotive grade. I'd venture saying that it's better than my previous Alpine Headunit FM tuner.

yes, i had one and played with it

its well built...

its reception was OK, not great...

of course better than silabs


audio is broken out, doesnt go over usb... so thats good to some, bad to others

if you are in the USA, i would not use this tuner.. too limited

its RDS support is also limited, but it does the basics

i need to contact them, and ask permission for the protocol, so i can make a Ride Runner Radio Module

its build quality is A+
comes with CF2 and CF3 modules

Thanks for the reply mitch. I'm currently using a Directed + your cable which works great - except for 5 seconds of relay clicking before Centrafuse starts. I'm looking for a solution to speed things up a bit, any suggestions?

its in the design "flaw" of centrafuse, it waits for the tuner to be ready, which hangs CF processes till its ready.... its just how they designed CF
i was gonna play with it, and lie to CF and say im ready immediatly
but i never got around to playing
its mostly because their radio programmer interface is SOO limited
i talked with CF team about making a NEW full featured radio aPI
and till we see that..

i did clean up their code a bit, and updated the comm, and thats all in CF3.1 (beta)

if u want it... pm me, i did it for CF2 too, it prob wont speed much up..but its cleaned up and newer
