    SBC Problems

Since this SBC was mentioned in this thread: Cheap SBCs on ebay. , hopefully a few of us here have this board , and hopefully you'll be able to help me with this one:

I recently got a Aaeon SBC-675 motherbord, and I can`t even get it to boot or even show anything on the screen.

    The setup:
    Celeron 600mhz processor (1.5v core)
    32mb of PC100 Ram.
    Keyboard + Monitor + PSU

When i turn it on, the tree keyboard LED's flash as usual, but the
green (power?) LED on the SBC flashes contantly on and off, about once a second. Plus there is no signal to the monitor. No beeping or anything like that either.

I've searched & searched through the manual, but no luck. Please help, I really would like to get this machine to boot. Even a link to some SBC FAQ's would be appreciated.

    Thanx

*****. I just realised that my 600mhz processor is 1.5v, when my board needs a 2v processor... (533mhz is the absolute maximum: http://processorfinder.intel.com/scr...asp?ProcFam=49 )

Anyone know the odds of my processor or board being dead?

Try a intel celeron 400 , it worked for me. Check the manual on the cd , it gives a lot more detail on the board. From memory I think it will work with upto a 550.

    Good luck

PS are you using a back-plane or an AT PSU ?

I`m using a AT PSU. (Gonna use a sproggy eventually)

I would try my other celeron CPU, but it`s a really old slot 1 kind (its a 400 tho) .

I've read the manual from cover to cover.

As far as mazimum speeds go, the manual says 466, the website says 433, but g60 (in the thread i mentioned above) confirmed with the aaeon tech that a 533 does actually work (as it's the fastest 2v socket 370 chip intel make. Also, they don`t make a 550.

    I just hope feeding 2v to a 1.5v chip didn`t hurt anything.
