    D945gclf2d psu?

I just purchased a D945GCLF2D to replace my fried MB. I'm curious if my DSATX 220W power supply will work with it?? The MB has a 2x12 connector and the PSU only has a 2x10. Will that work or will I need an adapter? Also, is this PSU powerful enough. This is what it's listed at, if it helps: 12V@12A, 5V@12A, 3.3V@10A, [email protected], and [email protected]

    Thanks.

That should be more than good enough, the board draws very little 12v (around 400ma max, IIRC). Most of it's draw is 5v, and even then it's only around 4 amps.

Ok, thanks. I thought so, just wanted to make sure. But, is it ok to use a 20 pin cable on the 24 pin plug? I've used 24 pin cables on 20 pin plugs with no issues.

It may be okay. The extra pins are just for extra 12v current, which is not needed for this board, but the board may require them to be connected anyway. Likewise, the P4 connector is just to provide extra power, and the ATX connector could easily supply the <0.5A that this board requires, but the board will not boot without the P4 connected.

I used an M3-ATX with this board and it seems to work fine so far (20 Pin connector)

Seems ok. Now if I can figure out the small bugs again....like why Xport has issues with my GPS and HD radio now.
