    Post Alltech Elc.LCD cable question

I have one of the Alltech B&W screens and like it. It is really large so not the best for small cars although I was able to sort of mount it in my subaru. It worked better when I tried it in a GMC jimmy though. I think the biggest problem with the screens though is the really small cable, the computer has to be super close to screen because of this which leads to a lot of problems. Does anyone know where you can get a longer version of the 2 cables these screens use? Thanks!

I had one, but, got rid of it for the color model. Anyway, you can order a spool of the 16 wire ribbon (or ribbon wire whatever you want to call it), from many computer/ electronic stores (or u may even be able to place an order at your local radio shack (check the catalog)). The B/W LCD only uses 15 of the 16 wires, so you could just remove the last one seeing as you won't need it.
The 2 wires for the inverter can just be extended by adding some wire(18 guage should suffice) into the original line (it is only 2 wires so it will take no time at all).

How is the video quality, can you watch VCDs and visualizations on it ? How does it look in direct sunlight. If you could get me pictures I would be REALLY happy...

    thanks
