    If you want to save the $ , get some plexiglass or sheet plastic (Home improvement stores, good model hobby shops or a plastics shop.)
    Cut it to fill the hole, cut out a hole for the new stereo and paint it if you need. That's exactly what the stereo shops do.

    Again give Crystal Sonics (see prior post) a call- they might already have a plate that is pre-cut.

    Also check their prices on the head unit-> they used to have the better prices than most places. (Doesn't hurt to check.)

    Sounds like you have enough room in there to put a double-din head unit (at 4" high) and an 6.4" lcd. (outside dimensions of 7" x 5" according to flat-panel.com) That would make me pretty happy that I had a screwed up sized head unit.
