    How hard is it?

I think maybe I have A.D.D or maybe I'm just bipolar, I have no clue. I was watching a commercial for the Lexus LFA and they show how when it starts, those cool digital gauges come up and start reconfiguring themselves. I thought, d@mn is that cool, I gotta have that on my truck. I said earlier in my build I would never mess with the main workings of my car, but the idea is just too cool to pass up. I happen to have 2 Lilliput screens laying around so I thought, maybe I can use those. Because I know that this shouldnt be to graphics intensive, I was thinking of using a USB VGA card. What else would I need to get everything going? Would it all be done through OBD2, like all the warning lights and stuff? What software would I use, and has anyone come up with something that has transistions like the Lexus LFA?

Here is the commercial if you havent seen it.

Thanx for the MOD that fixed my link to show the youtube video correctly!

I know that when I use OBD2 with CF, almost all the commands pop up on the interface. Well the ones like speed, tach, oil, and power. I am not sure about the other stuff because it was rarely used.

Does dash command have the ability to have the same type of display.

i did notice this...... All the warning lights are not digital. Only the stuff needed for driving. So that may make it a little easier. You dont think dashcommand can do something similar?

Saw this car on TopGear. Interface looked really cool, but I don't see that being anything less than a giant hassle to write, unless you're great with Flash. :v

That's far too personal a question to be answered on an open forum.

for THAT car.. it's pretty self-explanatory.

She sounds so sick she just might resonate your eyeballs into mush, then you don't need gauges. You'd need a C-N-I dog

LOL...... I want to do something so bad now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was looking at my dash and I see that it will fit a 7 inch in there. On the sides I can put the warning lights (my car has alot of them) on one side, then on the other I can add a few more warning lights and also intergrate my seperate back up system display into the dash.
