no. it will not recognize it as an internal one.
i have a via m10000 mobo can i just run a usb external hard drive,and will the pc be okand reconize it as the main drive instead of a internal one?
The M10000 doesn't support SATA, so you either need a PATA hard drive or a PCI SATA controller.
I'd recommend the PATA hard drive.
Yet another case of poor research & planning resulting in delays and additional expenses for a project.
you could have a small ssd hdd and then an external drive (12v) that has the actual programs etc on it ...
