RevoSys X500 (Dual Core 2DIN Car PC)

As I have been lamenting on this forum for months, my Infill G4 died and needs to be replaced. I like the idea of an all-in-one double din solution for a carputer and was curious if any of the seasoned enthusiast had any experience with a RevoSys branded carputer.

The specs on the x500 are:

    Features: •Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5GHz
    •Intel945GME+ICH7M
    •667MHz Bus and 4M Cache
    •2GB DDR2 RAM
•Embedded FM Tuner with RDS (Software Controlled)

    •Intelligent Automotive Power Supply
    •Full Function Remote Control
Display: •6.5 Inch 16:9 Wide-Screen Digital LCD Panel
    •550cd/m2 Brightness
    •Resistive Touch Screen
    Audio: •Built-in 4x45Watt Amplifier

    •Four Channel RCA Pre-amp Outputs
Ports: •(1) Mini-USB Port (Front Panel)
    •(1) USB Port (Rear Panel)
    •(1) VGA Output
    •(1) RCA Video Input
    •(1) Backup Camera Input

I'm also interested in these Revo-Sys units. They surely pack a punch. I wonder what the build quality is like. Anyone?

I know they have had a few other systems, so there is at least a "track record" even if not for this particular model.

I've been interested in their monitors, but these all-in-ones didn't look good on their site, if you ask me.

The pictures I saw didn't seem to lend an air of great build quality to them.

Did anyone end up buying a revo-sys unit? If so, how is it?

I did not, I ended up taking a gamble and invested some money in trying to get my Infill G4 working again.
